Setting Up ShareX with Aphorism

Step 1: Download the Configuration File

Step 2: Download and Install ShareX

Visit the official ShareX website and download the latest version

Step 3: Import the setup.sxcu File

After installing ShareX, open the application and follow these steps:

1. Click on Task Settings in the left sidebar.
2. Select Destinations from the menu.
3. Click on the Image Uploader section.
4. Click on the Import button and select the downloaded setup.sxcu file.

This will configure ShareX to use our specific settings for uploads.

Step 4: Configure URL Copy After Upload

Ensure that the following option is set to copy the URL after upload:

1. In the same Image Uploader section, check the option Copy URL to clipboard after upload.

With this setting enabled, the URL will automatically be copied to your clipboard after each upload.

Step 5: Configure Hotkeys for Capturing Screenshots or GIFs

To set custom hotkeys for capturing screenshots or recording GIFs, follow these steps:

1. Go to Hotkey Settings in the left sidebar of ShareX.
2. Click the Add button to create a new hotkey for a task.
3. In the Task dropdown, select Capture Region for screenshots or Screen Recording (GIF) for screen recording.
4. Assign a custom key combination (e.g., Ctrl + Alt + S for screenshots or Ctrl + Shift + S for GIFs).
5. Click OK to save the hotkey configuration.

Step 6: Test Your Keybindings

Once you have set the hotkeys, press your assigned key combination (e.g., Ctrl + Alt + S or Ctrl + Shift + S) to capture a screenshot or record a GIF. Ensure the uploads work correctly and the URL is copied to your clipboard.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, ensure that:

• Your setup.sxcu file is correctly imported.
• Your keybindings are correctly configured.
• You have an active internet connection.
• You have the latest version of ShareX installed.
